Overview
QuoteSpeedy is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service, and we do not sell your information to third parties.
Data We Collect
- •Location (optional): Your approximate location is used to provide accurate local pricing for materials and labor. This is requested via browser permissions and you can decline.
- •Video & Audio: Media you record or upload is sent to Google's Vertex AI for analysis. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
- •Generated Quotes: Your construction estimates are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not have access to this data.
How We Process Your Data
When you submit video or audio:
- Your media is sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) for analysis
- The AI generates a construction estimate based on what it sees/hears
- The estimate is returned to your browser
- Your media is not retained after processing
Local Storage
Your quotes are saved using your browser's localStorage feature. This means:
- • Data stays on your device only
- • We cannot access your saved quotes
- • Clearing browser data will delete your quotes
- • Quotes do not sync between devices
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Cloud Vertex AI: Processes your media to generate estimates
- Google Cloud Run: Hosts our application
These services have their own privacy policies. Please review Google Cloud's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
Data Retention
We do not retain your video, audio, or estimate data on our servers. All processing happens in real-time, and media is discarded after analysis.
Your Rights
Since we don't store your personal data on our servers, there's nothing to delete or export from our side. To delete your locally stored quotes, clear your browser's localStorage or site data.
